Sam Boswell, Massage Therapy

About Me

Sam Boswell

I began my massage training in 1989 and began practicing in the fall of '89. I read "Myotherapy" by Bonnie Prudden and began using the acupressure-like trigger point techniques immediately. In my first week, I had several clients remark that they were pain-free for the first time in years. I was hooked.

I later took St. John Neuromuscular Therapy workshops (1-5: neck, spine, low back, scoliosis, extremities, hands, feet, shoulder, eyes, TMJ, cranial decompression), John Barnes Myofascial Release, Upledger's Craniosacral Therapy, Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage, Strain Counterstrain (Positional Release), Kinesiotaping, Biovalent Systems Manual Therapy (Frank Lowen), and Spinal Touch (aka Biomechanics Technique), for which I am a certified workshop instructor.

I am nationally certified (NCBTMB) and am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

I also teach continuing education to massage practitioners.

I also recommend Pilates conditioning. See Elizabeth Jones-Boswell's website: www.pilatesrehab.org for safe exercises.
